This is an entry level admin position with WDAD Communications;  an award-winning independent advertising agency specialising in recruitment communications.

We may be a small agency, but we’ve been around for a long time and have a portfolio of clients that includes commercial brands, public sector organisations and charities. It’s a niche sector and this role is a great introduction to the recruitment and employee communications business.

We need someone who’s self-motivated, and has some real nous about them with the eagerness and charm to help deal with the varied and challenging admin tasks we so often face.

As well as helping clients with their enquiries and making sure adverts are processed quickly (and above all accurately), you’ll support the varied work of our Project Managers. We’ll train you up, although Mac skills and some experience in a small agency or in-house recruitment team would be ideal.

In time, you’ll start to advise clients on our full range of products and services, so if you have a great eye for detail, can work calmly and efficiently to often incredibly tight deadlines… this could be a great place to develop your account handling career.

Anyway, enough about the job, let’s talk about you.

Your grammar, spelling and punctuation must be up to scratch – you’ll be checking copy (words), drafting letters, reports and emails and posting and proofing adverts on job boards, so you need a high standard of written English. Be warned, you’ll be tested on this if you get to interview stage!

You need strong attention to detail and a good level of numeracy – you’ll be compiling and checking all sorts of media quotes and figures.

You must be good on the phone – you’re going to be fielding a lot of calls from clients and other contacts like media reps, printers etc.

MS Office skills – we don’t want an IT nerd, but you do need to know your way around MS Word, Outlook and Explorer. If you’re any good with Excel, PowerPoint and possibly even used to a Mac, we’ll be extra impressed.

If you like what you see around the website and the spec about looks interesting, please email a CV to mike@wdad.co.uk – attaching a covering letter explaining why you’re interested in joining us.

Thank you, we look forward to reading your CV.
