GFSL provides facility maintenance services to 49 prisons across the South of England, employing carpenters, electricians and a host of trades people to maintain the estates. For some, the thought of working in a prison might just be beyond the pale. For sure, it’s a challenging role, but equally it can be hugely rewarding, and something that helps to rehabilitate offenders for the benefit of society for all.
We went behind the wire for a three-day shoot to interview and film some of the amazing GFSL team at four of their prisons. We found a team of motivated and dedicated professionals who certainly opened our eyes to some of the misconceptions that exist around what is perhaps a unique working environment.
Team working, camaraderie, development, job security and feeling entirely safe in their surroundings were the key messages we uncovered; messages that were encapsulated on seven employee profile videos we produced for their new careers website, as well as in this compilation recruitment video.
