A careers website to challenge perceptions

The Audit Commission wanted to be seen as modern, diverse and accessible. It wanted to engage with a wider social and ethnic pool in ways that didn’t feel quite so typically ‘public sector’. In particular, it wanted to challenge the misconception that it was full of middle aged, male accountants!

We designed and built a bespoke website that was conceptually simple. Just as the Audit Commission made sure public money was spent wisely, so candidates would make a wise career choice if they joined. We peppered the site with words of wisdom, wise films and all the other things worth wising up on about the Commission.

The careers website was very different to what had gone before, and certainly met the brief. It also was shortlisted as one of the Best Websites at the CIPD awards.
