Gifties engaged in a little Winter Olympics of their own this month as some of our most intrepid London staff took part in the superb Sense Ice skating Competition, raising a bracing £575 in the process.

When it comes to national treasures, veteran London fundraiser Tom McHugh is runner up only to TV chef Ainsley Harriot, people's princess Cheryl Cole and HRH The Queen. And believe it or not, Tom is about to add to his considerable lore by arranging a second mini-music festival for charity this February, as Stoned on Love II gets underway.
